I hadn't noticed the noise either. It's noisy, but not any worse than what I expected from a car like this.

It says Japanese produced BRZ, and available to everyone, not for Japanese market vehicles only. The destination shows North America and Europe/Global.

I read the tsb but I'm an idiot.

Am I right in assuming this just adds a little fin to that portion of the window like this? (obviously it wont cover that portion of the window like this example)

BRZ is produced only in Japanese plant in Gunma. In US are assembled Impreza, Forester and Outback.

Nope. It adds a small protrusion on the inside of the rubber moundling to butt up to the glass of the A pillar better, thereby sealing it better. Basically nothing anyone can see.
