New Clutch - Car wants to stall out
Hi all, any help on this would be really appreciated.
Hoping I don't have to take it apart again... So I just installed a stock clutch, pressure plate (exedy) and throw out bearing on the car. The issue is now that the car is all back together (still on stands). I can go through all the gears just fine, but when I start it up and push the clutch in (neutral or in gear) and keep it in the car drops to about 400 rpm and wants to stall out then comes back up (idling at 1k rpm cause its cold) When I release it, it does the same thing and comes back up. I put it into gear and the wheels were turning but my T/C kicked in and got all weirded out, so I know it engages and wheels turn. I haven't taken it down from the stands yet cause I'm not sure whats causing it. |
Update:
I found this video: at 11 20 he talks about the throttle body adjustment https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BlXHgDnaNmU I let it idle for about 15 mins and the problem went away, took it for a spin and it seems to want to stall if I do a quick start, stop and start again, the revs dropping from pushing in the clutch combined with the clutch engagement seems to want to start a stall. Might be throttle body but I'm pretty sure at this point its not transmission related. Saying this ones case closed |
