P0018 P0019 P0021 after OFT tune back to stock
My car was on a stage 2 e85 tune and got rodknock. After getting the engine rebuilt at a shop and driving it until empty, I switched the tune back to the car's original tune to get it smogged. There were no check engine lights with the e85 tune, but now it has P0018 and P0019. P0021 also showed up before but after clearing it, it's not there right now. Any help is appreciated

The OFT tunes use a euro rom as a base
When you tune back to stock you go back to the USA based rom and they seem more sensitive to those cam codes Also you might be going back to an older base rom again more sensitive to those codes Not sure if can pass smog on a oft stage 1 petrol tune might help |

Do you think I can pass smog using a euro oem tune?
|
difficult to say, you need someone Expert in how the smog check works in California, i think they also Connect to obd and check for "things" our euro cars with euro calibration don t necessarily count for
in italy they only check exhaust gas with their sensor, so i regularly tune people also with aftermarket without cat Headers, and the stock oem front pipe installed and they pass it if they show up there with a warmed up car but California is rinomated for stringent controls |

As Tom said hard to say if you can pass on a euro tune If you're in California no chance as they check the ECU claid and the checksum verification number so you need stock tune car was supplied with Other states might be possible depends on strictness of tests |
