DIY JDM frameless mirror install

You can purchase the JDM frameless mirror from the vendor section or Japanparts.com.

What you'll need:
1. flat head screw driver
2. JDM frameless mirror
3. JDM frameless mirror clip

Begin by twisting the base of the OEM mirror clockwise. Make sure you're twisting the mirror base and not the actual mount that sticks to the windshield. Once the mirror is rotated about 45 degrees, slide the mirror down.

Pry out the OEM clip with a flat head screw driver. It should come off relatively easy. Install the JDM frameless mirror clip into the same location.

Install your JDM frameless mirror by reversing your steps. Mount the mirror at about 45 degrees and make sure that the metal clip is hooked onto the mirror base. Push it up about an inch and then rotate it counterclockwise.

Is the view bigger? It looks slightly convex.

Thanks!

i feel like the width is about the same, but it's slightly taller in the center of it.

Does the jdm clip come with the mirror. Or is that another part that needs to be ordered

It comes with it, but the clip should be the same as the USDM clip.

Not sure. I bought mine from japanparts.com (before the mirror was offered in the US).
