Pedders offset camber/caster strut mount - sheared bolt
 

Just an FYI to those of you using pedders top mounts.


I had one of the 3 nuts back off to the point that there was enough play to create a feint clunk over a year ago, so I've been re-torqing the nuts to 17 ft/lb on oil changes just for piece of mind.


2nd oil change retourqing - and one of the bolts sheared.



I love them otherwise, so I ordered another but figured I would post up to see if others have heard of this?

Are you using the oem nuts? Unfortunate to hear, but you may have just gotten a bad batch.

I’m on my 2nd set and all is well.

Yup, OEM nuts. Just ordered 6 new OEM nuts as well to use when the top hat arrives.

I assume you let Pedders know and they are taking care of you?

Little dab of Loctite blue will fix that right up.

You can also just buy stronger/newer studs instead of buying a whole new mount.
