Issue with my clutch

Hi all,

My car, a 2013 scion frs with 56000 miles on it, seemed to be ok a few days ago. it is now making a whistling noise when i push the clutch down. When i stop while pushing the clutch down the car just turns off. I have two videos. Anyone have an idea of whats wrong?

thanks

Gee
I wonder what it could be?

WNDSRFR 11-29-2022 12:51 PM

I think it might be the CRB.

Thx WNDSRFR! Appreciate the help. I was worried it's something more serious. That's why I was asking.

Clutch release bearing.
AKA TOB.

I know that should have been easy but then we have a 710 knob on the engine and a ID10T computer code, so I didn't know where you were going with CRB. And, in my defense, CRB didn't come up in a Google search as an AKA for a TOB. Yes, I agree, it sounds like his TOB/CRB or AKA CTB (clutch thrust bearing) is going bad.

WNDSRFR 12-01-2022 01:53 PM

I think you're right.

WNDSRFR 12-01-2022 01:53 PM

And what's a 710 knob?

LOL. Don`t put H2O in your 710 knob if you don`t want a ID10T CEL. Unless you`re a dipstick.
