Sent you a message about the clearance of the front caliper and you never answered. How much clearance do you think the front caliper has between it and the wheel? Reason im asking is because i want to get this offset but i have a ap bbk.

From his pictures... it looks like you will need spacers up front :(

Yeah i know thats why im waiting on purchasing these :( . I really want that offset and width but i have to make sure it can fit. Hopefully someone volunteers to measure the essex wheel template. Im running 17x8 +45 rpf1's right now and they clear perfectly.

^ if you look at pics of others w/ 17x9 +35, the front actually pokes out about 5mm w/ 0 camber, if you add -1.5 to -2 degrees, it sits flush w/ the fender

Hey man sorry I'm a lazy asshole!!:D

I did try the essex template against my spare wheel and it looks like it will just barely touch. With a 3mm spacer it would clear but I am not sure if the componets will flex under hard corning and make contact.

A 5mm spacer should be enough though!

I think the 17x9 +45 will have less brake clearance, I'm pretty sure it's the same wheel with just less material on the backing pad.

this brake clearance issue is just if your running a big brake kit?..i think in STX you cant run a big brake right?..anyway im just about set on getting these RPF1s in 17x9+45 so it would be good to know

VSGTS14 12-08-2012 05:42 PM
