FWIW, my car is fairly low (on KW V3s) and I do not get tie rod rubbing with 17x9 +45 RPF1s and 245/40/17 Hankook RS3s. However, the tires do rub the sway bar slightly at absolute full lock, so it's possible that is keeping them from hitting the tie rods. The sway bar rub is just enough to clean the bar off, so it's not an issue, even with daily driving and/or autocrossing. I make a conscious effort to not go absolute full lock (and I rarely need to anyway), but even if I have to, it's not enough rubbing to be an issue.
I think you will be fine, depending on your tire size. I also agree that the +35 sticks out too much, so worst case scenario you can add some studs and a 3-5mm spacer up front. :thumbsup:
