The +45 will hit the tie rod ends on full lock if the car is lowered 20mm. Or even just under compression and full lock.

Looking foreward to pix. Shots of the front spring clearance would be nice too.

You're the only person to say that. Tirerack says they do fit. No offense but I believe them

for someone who doesn't know what a tie rod end is, it might pay to heed the advice of others rather than generic fitment calculators. I am not the only one to say that they don't fit.

I was genuinely trying to help you avoid the mistake I made. I still maintain the +35 pokes too much but it is the best option if you want 9" RPF1 fitment.

They rub as pictured on both sides. It took me a while to notice.

Please go ahead and fit them and let me know how you go

Sorry, that's just my frustration rearing its ugly head as I have already ordered these. I spoke to tire rack again and they guaranteed me they would fit. They said they wouldn't list it if it didn't fit and they said they bring the vehicle in and test it before they list the fitments. So I don't know what to think

Out of curiosity, which coil over would be best to go with to resolve this issue?

FWIW, my car is fairly low (on KW V3s) and I do not get tie rod rubbing with 17x9 +45 RPF1s and 245/40/17 Hankook RS3s. However, the tires do rub the sway bar slightly at absolute full lock, so it's possible that is keeping them from hitting the tie rods. The sway bar rub is just enough to clean the bar off, so it's not an issue, even with daily driving and/or autocrossing. I make a conscious effort to not go absolute full lock (and I rarely need to anyway), but even if I have to, it's not enough rubbing to be an issue.

I think you will be fine, depending on your tire size. I also agree that the +35 sticks out too much, so worst case scenario you can add some studs and a 3-5mm spacer up front. :thumbsup:

remember though im not on coilovers, im only on eibach springs with a 1 inch drop. i really dont know what to do. i cant afford coil overs right now but i want to do these wheels without spacers. BTW, can you post a pic of your setup? thanks

i just got back from the shop. they mounted the front wheel for me and we studied everything and it comes down to this, the 245/40 setup that i have, hits the tie rod at full lock. its not the tire but the rim itself. im just gonna live with it cause like you said, its just a rare scenario for full lock. i hope im not making the wrong decision but the installer at the shop said that he would do it if it was him and not worry about it. thanks for the help
