Metallic based tint

Looking to bring my car in for tinting next week. Didn't find any topics about this, so sorry if it was addressed somewhere, but is there any problem with using a metallic tint on this car? All the radio/gps antennas are located on the roof, but what about bluetooth and keyless sensors?

My tint is metallic and I haven't had any issues.

I am also wondering if the metallic tint would affect the keyless entry on my limited BRZ. Thanks!

I've got a limited with metallic tint and have had zero issues with it.

There is mention of metallic tint possibly hindering keyless sensors in the owner's manual.

I have never had an issue with that and have seen no difference between before and after the tinting. Don't let these concerns stop you if you want to get the car tinted.

This...

I would not recomend any metal tint that could cause issues with the keyless or the NAV, just get a good ceramic tint and be done with it. Better to do that than risk a problem in the future...it would suck to have a problem and the dealer tell you that it is the tint causing it...

Alright sounds good. Thanks for the info!

I would think that you shouldn't have issues due to the front window being not tinted. I would assume you are not doing the front.

the GPS antenna is in the dash. But you should be fine.

Aren't all metallic tints too dark for CA? I checked the 3M website and the lightest metallic is like 35% or something. Maybe it was 50%. (I guess most people don't give a crap)

The only CA legal tint is the 3M crystalline 70/90 :/

Yeah I don't really care. Have always tinted my cars and never gotten a fix it ticket.
