Dash Kits?

Rounding up a few more items before I do my full audio install in a few weeks.. Anyone have any experience with good dash kits for a double din?

Does the mounting hardware on the stock HUs work pretty well for after market 2Dins?

Thanks guys.

NVM, I ordered metra 95-8202.. Ill let you know how it fits.

good question.
Any suggestions?
I hear the Metra Metra 95-8202 kit needs some modification to fit

The metra needs modification and the BeatSonic needs longer screws.

Do they fill the gap nicely?

The metra needs to be trimmed down, and the beat sonic I never actually mounted because I didn't have screws long enough.

Crutchfield has recently completed their analysis on the FRS. (I know cause I just bought my Parrot Asteroid Smart from them). I don't think they're supplying the Metra nor the Beat-Sonic kit. The three items they're shipping with the double din stereo are:

Non-metra and non-beat-sonic (?) side things-

Antenna adapter-

Metra wire harness-

Has anyone installed the dash kit from Crutchfield?

I would consider them if the end result was good, but they dont deliver to Australia =S

Dash Kits?

The metra kit if free from sonic electronix. With purchase of a head unit. But if it doesn't fit I guess that's no help

I got both the Metra and BeatSonic kits. My HU (Pioneer 2din) came with 2 different sets of screws. The metra kit sticks out a little further than the BeatSonic one, good for HUs that have a mechanical fold-out face. Both kits need a little bit of sanding and paint to make the finishes look clean, and the Metra kit is easy enough to modify if you have a Dremel.

What about the RMK-TOY02 full surround from Enfigcarstereo . com ? Or the CT24TY2 on eBay? I think these full surrounds that snap into the back of the dashboard bezel look the best since they cover the tiny gap at the top and bottom of the head units as well. Only thing is motoroized Pioneers have issues pulling the screen in and out, though I am sure a little filing in the right places could fix that too.

The don't fit with every head unit. If the unit has a "tall" bezel (uses more of the max height), it won't fit with the trim ring.
