Holyhell, looks worse than the M3/M4 G80! -Must 'uv hired them crooks from Extreme Dimension to design that bodywork.

I get crosstrek vibes while looking at this rear bumper

MyHybridBurnsGasAndTires 09-26-2022 02:13 PM

looks like shit

At first glance it's nuts, but then I like it. Kinda reminds me of some LM-spec or IMSA version of a normal car. It's clean and simple compared to most "sporty" stuff these days.

Seen from a less extreme angle I will say it is probably the first BMW that I actually LIKE the looks of!

Yeah I like it. The color they chose there highlights the non-traditional trim and really makes it look weird.

Seems like a relatively clean design that -- like nearly every other car out there -- is festooned with garish, needless detailing on the outboard corners.

wow. Just wow at that pic. It could only be better if they grafted that bumper onto an E65.

I'm withholding final judgement on the new M2 until I see it in a proper color, like baby girl pajama pink.

The new 2 was always kind of normal looking, a little retroish and square.

I really dislike BMW's headlight/taillight game this generation, they look awful.

The germans went towards the japanese overstyled designs...except they look like they threw a bunch of overdesigned elements together and hoped it stuck. Japanese overdesign at least looks like everything belongs together.

Disagree. There are at least two current Japanese models that look like the bodies were designed by different people who didn't meet until the cars were built!

The passenger airbag seems to work. Congrats!
