HKS Coilovers

Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone here has any HKS coilovers and whats their damper setting set to?

I just installed the Hipermax S and no matter what adjustment it just feels weird. Like it understeers in some corners and on some corners the back sorter kicks out? Just seems like stock rotates a bit better...but this gives me less body roll...

On the website and manual it says 30 clicks but mine has 40?

Currently set on 25 front which is what it came in and 27 rear. (from soft to hard)

Did you get an alignment done after you installed them?

Where did you get it from that it came set at 25/30 clicks? The product page on HKS's website says the default setting is 15/30.

you can do the alignment with stock wheels. Shouldn't change much between wheels.

40 clicks.
Would have returned that right away.

Might be related to @humfrz, bubba could probably make 50 clicks.

As said previously don't bother waiting for the new wheels and the alignment will probably fix this issue. If it still doesn't feel right corner weighting might also help. But unless you're driving on tracks a bunch it probably won't matter as long as the collars are set the same left to right.

You start at fully screwed in (clockwise) and count backwards from that. Don't go past 30. It's not uncommon for it to be possible to keep going.

Unless manual says start at softest.
Not all coil overs are built the same. And with his doing 40 I'd say they may be fkd so return them ASAP instead of waiting.

Just FYI for those who ahs hks and wants to know.

Its actually says to go clockwise to the max stiffness, dial one click counter clockwise and this is now set to 0 clicks (max stiffness). Then continue counter clockwise to go softer.
