Snorkel/Intake
Hey Guys,
I got a Greddy snorkel like 5 years ago and yesterday when i was installing a new intake system I notice its quite dirty inside the snorkel. Black dust/sand looks like from exhausts of other cars on the road built up. I want to ask if you have a snorkel do you clean it? and if so how would you do it? Can it be done without taking off the front bumper and taking off the double sided tape etc... |
|
Ahh the greddy one i have is double sided taped on the bottom and it goes all the way down. I was thinking if i use a compress air can and spray it down from where the intake is. If that would be a good enough clean =S

Greddy snorkel doesn't require double sided tape, its held down with fender clips bolted into the crash bar. You can get a small rag or brush can clean it quickly when changing or cleaning your air filter.

pulling the bumper isn't that hard.
it also allows one to custom flare the intake. https://i.imgur.com/VNDsRth.jpg which then allows space for truck horns. https://i.imgur.com/UJ7VpQQ.jpg without resonating chambers, car isn't louder, or faster, but has a touch more growl to it, i think it's mostly through the cabin sound tube though. |
Is the horn OEM? Do you have a part number?
