Shift well replacement for shift boot?

A bunch of years ago I bought a "shift well" from cravenspeed for my mini cooper to replace the boot and I fell in love with the clean look of it.

I reached out to cravenspeed since they DO make one for the ND miata (so maybe they'll make one for the 86/BRZ eventually).

Does anyone know if someone has something like this on the market right now?

I had one on my old R53 Mini. It was really nice compared to the 15yo cracked and ratty boot...

I'd buy one if it worked with the stock shifter. Let us know what they say.

They said they have a gr86 on-site for development. So fingers crossed they'll end up making one.
The shift boot is the same for both cars right?

Yes.

How would that work with the pull up reverse lockout sleeve? Its not exactly the prettiest piece of plastic underneath the shift boot.

That being said, I love the clean look.

A very interesting look.

At first I'd think that a dust-catcher but, then again, won't be driving the BRZ with the top down much. ;)

He was in the middle of putting a carbon fiber roof on so really not that bad.
Of course if it rains the car will fill with mold within seconds and have to be scrapped.

We haven't torn into our GR86 too much yet, but we do love this look. I can't say for sure yet but it's pretty likely that we will do something like this.
