Anybody use Molded Innovations Subaru emblems on a 17+ BRZ

I just got a series yellow and my only complaint on the exterior is how the OEM emblems don't look right on the black and yellow. I see that there are replacement emblems available and I like the black with yellow stars from molded innovations but the description says that modification is required for the rear emblem on 17+ BRZ. I can't seem to find any pictures of the emblem installed and I've seen a review that says it doesn't fit at all. Does anybody have any experience with these and if so would you be willing to post a picture of the rear emblem on the car?

looks like it's entirely a wrx sti company.

so doesn't surprise me they don't fit the same.

but i can say ranger badges fit just fine.

If money isn't a concern you could buy a stock emblem, pop out the center and replace with the custom insert.

Why not just get emblem overlays? You just stick them over the existing emblems. I've used the same ones for years - no fading and they look great.

I'm looking to eliminate the chrome bezels which the overlays and stock badges don't do. The emblem on a pre 17 brz looks good but I don't know what the differences are between them

my guess would be either the alignment pegs, or the overall shape. the rear badge is only held in place with alignment pegs, there's no indentation around the badge, so overall sizing doesn't matter.

with a ranger badge, neither of these things matter.

many people hate clipping the alignment pegs for some reason, but modding is modding...

If you have the time, buy a couple of used ones from ebay and try painting or dipping them and see how they turn out. When you are ready for the real one, buy new ones and apply the same technique. You might spend more money than you planned but will come away with a new skill.

If it's a matter of cutting the pegs off it's just a Stanley knife and a steady hand.

If I ever get around to putting my STi ones on, I'll have some extras lying around.

See I'm good with a knife and taping off the area of the badge would help with scratches and alignment so I think I'll try them. Worst case I'll just do a rear badge delete.

I got some from Pete and painted them myself and then used ArtResin to get the look I wanted.
