Thanks!

One of the most informative videos i seen. I didnt know the following obscure(?) info:
1. Brake rotors front and back smaller than previous gen?!
2. Carbon synchro for 4th gear
3. Vacuum sensor for brake booster.
4. Vacuum pump for manual versions.
5. Baffles in the cyl head for less oil pooling.

But he got me really self conscious about the BMW-esque shark fin.... wonder if the aftmkt will solve that (someone make an integrated radio ant pls!) and replace it will a nice continuous STI-esque vortex generator... fun fact, i put my car under a car cover and the top of the sharkfin is whats "propping up" my car cover and that paint surface is slightly worn (some of the shiny material of the car cover inside has transferred to the top of the shark fin darn it).

Edit: looking thru the parts manual, the gr86 (and by extension the 2022 brz) rotor is the same as the previous gen non-brembo. So nothing changed there. He was probably comparing with the brembo PP.

everyone's still comparing the '13 to the '22. really ought to be comparing the '20 to the '22.

there were a number of incremental improvements over the years that no one ever seems to acknowledge.

i'm not watching the video to preserve my 'vote'.

but if it's true he's comparing the performance pack rotors, then the guy's a moron for cherry picking the 'best of' features of later models.

there's still no word either way whether this gen will get a performance pack. i would really expect it around the same time frame though..

Toyota always sandbags upgrades for later year models.

All manufacturers do to some extent or another. There are of course incremental improvements every year to correct things that appear through use but they need to have SOMTHING special each year. May be as simple as the knee pads that the 14 FRS got but it will be "upgraded".

That triangular shape on either side of the center console where the knee pads should be really begs for something to be there. And it irritates me everytime i see it. And it does nothing and is one-piece with the console.

Probably the comment on brakes is incorrect. Also, he missed the rear track increase, but this would not be something that could be seen without previous info.

Overall, he brought good points that were missed on other videos.
