What object is this my dashboard?
 
I was wiring the external MIC in my 2013 Toyota 86yesterday and came across this object in the dashboard, it seems that it has come loose but I have no idea what it is. Does anybody know what it is?

I found it on the left hand side of the dashboard, there is a plastic cover plastic clips.

@Here2rock It is for your glove box. It helps drops the compartment down slowly.

theres a peg on the side of the glovebox that will clip to
