Hood flapping

im trying to remedy the hood fluttering above 95 mph. i dont really want to put in aero hood latches on the side.

what are some other potions to this or should i just deal with it

Hood venting is the easiest way to get rid of the flutter

Deal with it, its normal. If you run an aftermarket hood then get aerocatch or similar quality latches.

Adjust it. It isn't hard to do.

Just use the oval holes in the latch to move it up a hair. Don't get carried away though or then it will be hard to open.

Down. Move it down a hair. Make sure your corner stops are adjusted accordingly. It's not normal. My hood's rock solid up through a buck fifteen.

Yes down. Not sure why I said up. Must have thought it was an Australian car.

You were still shocked at 600 ppm molybdenum.

What if you are at the bottom and still get flutter?

600 and I wouldn’t bat an eye. It was 1033 against an average of 189 and yes that is huge.

Hammer the bar on the hood up. Yes this time it would be up.

Would have to figure out what's different. I've never even seen it.

No, 600 and 1000 are two samples of the concentration in the first fill with assembly lube. It's not even remarkable to me.

The product called Liquid Moly is 180 and that is considered high.
Assembly lubes can go as high as 400 and should be diluted from there.
The samples posted are well above that.
My point remains that the guys that run home with their new car and drain out all that “crap” initial fill shouldn’t be in such a rush.

Corner stops are way off.
