WTF is that??? Looks like a stretched Elise. And Hennessey is known for twin turbo Vipers. Sooo... did they cram a twin-turbo 8.xL V10 in an Elise???

One thing about the Venom GT that amazes me is that they were originally going to make 29 cars then that changed to 10 cars but now cut that back to 5. I understand the concept of creating something unique and special, but damn! Wonder if they can recoup the R&D costs with such a short production run? Stock Exige S: $66k Chevy 6.2 liter LS9 V8 engine: $21k Venom GT 725hp: $725k Venom GT 1200hp: $950k Now I know Hennessey did a ton of work to the Exige. I think I read somewhere that less than 10% of the parts are from the Exige. So that is no small task. Especially since the body is all carbon fiber. But damn, for $700-950k I would like an interior more like a Bugatti/Zonda than a Lotus! lol |
