Is there any way to replace the license plate screw grommet https://parts.subaru.com/p/subaru__B...909300012.html so that I can use bolts for securing the plate instead of screws?

i just run larger hardware into those

Just remove the grommet all together, and use a bolt+nut+washer combination. You'll just have to center the plate yourself rather than relying on the grommet
