So I want to visit California... I have some family there. With a intercooler, blow off valve and custom crash bar visible in the bumper along with a rather tame exhaust, no cats though, how likely will I run into trouble? I hear California is not friendly to our kind.

According to my brother, a California cop, you absolutely can be sited for exhaust, and over tented windows with out of state plates. But, don't drive like an ass hat, don't be loud, and you'll be fine.

I think tented windows are a bad idea anyplace though!
