What is the purpose of this subframe tab?

Can anyone tell me the purpose of this little tab that sticks out on the driver side of the rear subframe? I have never seen this connected to anything on anyone's car.

Mmm If I remember correctly it’s used to hold the auto level sensor harness

That makes the most sense. I read only European brzs came with the auto level sensor before 2017 but they must’ve kept this piece for all models.
