Steering Wheel Hits Buttons Behind It?
 

Hello there!
I’m wondering what these (https://youtube.com/shorts/TEAfHnETFWI?feature=share) buttons are behind the steering wheel of my 2013 FR-S? I’ve never noticed them before but they’ve started squeaking when the wheel hits them. I’m thinking they’re aftermarket, I’m not the first person to own this car. I have no clue what they do. They’re on both sides of the wheel.

Those buttons are certainly not stock and you will have to do some investigating to determine what they are (or were) connected to. Strange location unless a previous owner had mounted an aftermarket steering wheel with a small diameter center hub.

Maybe the previous owner watched too many 007 movies. A button for the oil slick, another for smoke screen, machine guns...

It is obviously there for entering the Konami code. You can get infinite life.

Are we authorized to reveal the K-code? I mean, K-swap is one thing but "THE CODE"??? Just sayin' . . .
