Important questions about the brz
 

Hello i currently live in egypt and its my dream to own a brz/gt86 its my favorite car and i really love it, however taxes are incrediblely expensive for cars above 1600cc / 1.6 Engines, they are around 400k/ 21k USD importing taxes only without shipping or the car price included, but cars that are 1.6 ltr engine taxes are 1850$, so my main question is was there ever a 1.6 engine BRZ/gt86 to ever exist or be made, NOT engined swapped but stock with that engine, and if there isn’t at all what are the best coupe/ sports car that are 1.6ltr and below, i know most of yall are car enthusiasts and can much help me!

The twins only had the 2 litre engine WORLDWIDE till 2020 and a 2.4 l from this year on.
What is the tax between a 1,6 l & a 2.0 l again?
If you really like the look of these cars maybe your only option is try to budget for one.

The many cars I can think of with 1.6l are not very performance oriented nor look as good as the 86/BRZ or coupé’s unless it’s a Fiat Abart or Ford Fiesta ST but they are not coupé’s..

The Twins only ever came with the 2.0 FA20 engine for the first generation, and the 2.4 FA24 for the second generation.

Your best bet would probably be the 1.5 Miata or the 1.4T Fiat 124 Spider (the Fiata, or Fiat version of the ND Miata).
