I couldn't find any good purple wheels, and these red ones are a steal. So maybe I'll get em powdercoated with some leftover money I have down the road. :P

No other stuff like lca's? And did anything need to be done to the fenders?

Nope, just BC Racing Coilovers maxxed out! Didn't have to do anything to the fenders with stock wheels because they're so small lol

Nope, not yet anyway. I will once my new wheels get on.

636 05-11-2013 09:30 PM

Welp, finally got around to getting tires on my wheels and slapped them on the car! Here's the product, although not finished. I still need to remove two collars from the front coilovers, and I'm waiting for PBM LCA to go lower in the rear.

Most likely, depending on how badly I need them. I think PBM was making some, so I'll probably grab them the same time I get the LCA.

Right now I'm working on getting a scratch fixed in my wheel. The place I brought it to to get them mounted scratched one of the lips pretty fuckin' bad. Last time I listen to my friends about going to a place.

SLICVIC 05-13-2013 02:21 AM

i was speaking with a friend of mine, he mentioned -5 camber was the max while keeping stock toe links

Hey bud do you have tint on your FR-S? If so what %'s & could you provide some pictures. Trying to see what would look best on my ride, trying to keep it classy looking w/o going to dark.

I appreciate it! As far as the tint goes, I don't know the actually %'s, all I know is it is "Florida Legal" since it came from the dealership.

Which would mean:
• Windshield - Non-reflective tint is allowed along the top of the windshield above the manufacturer's AS-1 line.
• Front Side Windows - Must allow more than 28% of light in.
• Back Side Windows - Must allow more than 15% of light in.
• Rear Window - Must allow more than 15% of light in.

I hope that helps!

This is my first time ever dealing with coilovers, so I'm not entirely sure how accurate this is. But basically from what I realized is the locking collars are there to be able to adjust the height of your coilover without unbolting the bottom mount. Pretty much they locked the bottom mount into place of whatever height you wanted it at.

Since I'm trying to go as low as possible I just took the collars out so I could spin the bottom mount all the way up, whereas before the collars were leaving about a half inch gap.

Vten 05-16-2013 12:13 AM

Looking good brah !!!

stancypants 05-16-2013 05:21 PM

do you know how much lower do the extrem drops go im maxxed out on my bc's and i look just about as low as you were on your stock wheels before you removed the collars i plan on removing mine too when i get my lower Control arms

Vten 05-16-2013 05:27 PM

Extreme drop should be lower than the regular bc br . I have those bc br coilover. On the max drop upfront there's still gonna be at least 1 finger gap , but on the rear , on max drop it tucked tires about 2 fingers... I'm on 17s with stock tires .

I do have rear LCA and adjuatable Rear toe arm to match the camber 1.2 front and 1.7 rear and both 0 toe on front and rear .

Hope that helps ur Q's

3 wheel all the new rage !!!!!!!

Badaab 07-02-2013 07:39 PM

Nice looking build here. It's a little low for me, but the wheels work nicely. I've been considering something similar in styling for my own, but will likely go black or graphite. The red is nice, but a little too high energy for what I'm after. That said, I applaud you for being original and doing it well.
