As to everyone else, thank you for the love! I will post pics today, but professionally done photos will come soon!!

i just cant justify spending 2K+ on rims

Because these companies blatantly rip off intellectual property/design. There's no creativity in what they do, it's a "thanks for doing the design and showing that the product is wanted by customers, we'll just copy it now and sell it cheaper." It would be the same thing if you were an inventor, released an invention of yours, then a Chinese company copied it and sold it for 40% cheaper and no one wanted to buy yours because it was too expensive. At that point, what motivation do you have to continue inventing?

But honestly if someone wants to buy knock off wheels, go for it. Just stating why people have a problem with it.

Anyway, I commented on FB that this was the first car picture I'd saved in a few years.

Maybe the guy will "wish" so hard he will pay for Volks so he can get your wish

What phone, laptop, tablet, or TV do you own? Video game console?

FRSHunter 07-14-2014 04:26 PM

On the C-West rear lip, is it supposed to have those two square holes? Nice car!

Not sure of the relevance, but Apple, HP, Samsung, Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo.

Everyone of those companies (except maybe Nintendo. those guys rock) looked to other companies to see what worked, what doesn't work and what the consumer wants. Rota or other such companies are really no different. HP has ripped on apple laptop designs for years, Samsung rips on Apple phones and Tablets. Apple ripped on xerox and Sony ripped on Nintendo's controller. Competition comes at a cost and it is certainly cheaper to follow than lead.

but back on topic, this colour is very nice.

I figured you were going that way.
There is a difference between taking cues from products that work (and even copying some facets of them) and straight up photocopying a product (or copying all facets of them to be in-line with the previous wording). Rota, SPD's turbo kit, and companies like that do no innovation or unique design of their products. It is literally "that is a exactly like Product X by Company Y, but it is cheaper," which is why people buy them.

But again, I didn't come to convince people that hold a different viewpoint - just to present the information. People will stick to whatever convictions they tell themselves to justify purchasing that and I try my best not to judge them for doing so :iono:

Love the new wrap!!

Here's some more from Eric!

More professional photos(and video!) from Derek Wheeler are coming very, very soon.

The thing about this color, is it's so hard to actually capture how it looks on photos. In some photos, it looks completely green, others, blueish. It even looks chrome in some of these photos as you can tell. But yeah, this is the new color for my car, and I'm in love.

If you'd like to see the entire album, with other various photos of it all in HD, check it out. HERE.

Until next time, thanks for looking. :)

I have to admit, even this color beats the Yellow vinyl wrapped 86s. Good job! Also does the C-west kit a favor, as I don't really like it on white cars.
