Flex Z wont adjust...

I just purchased a set of Flex Z's for the FRS last month, had them at stock height for the last few weeks but finally had some time to adjust. Fronts went no issue, they are 13.5" from center hub to fender, perfect. Right rear, no issue there, but the left rear will not adjust.

I can remove the lock nut, cleaned the threads, and it turned maybe one rotation and become harder so I started to use the wrench instead of turning the shock by hand, and it went around maybe two more rotations before stopping. Now the two top nuts turn, but the shock body does not rotate into the bottom at all, meaning that any movement is just adjusting preload, and not the height.

I have tried everything I can think to get it rotated, but any advice, or any else run into this? I have used some lube on the threads, and again these are virtually brand new, so no damage to the threads etc.

Contact who you bought it from and ask to exchange the driver’s rear assembly. Sounds like it was stripped from the factory.

Virtually brand new? Try lengthening/raising direction first. Expose the threads and see if there is any damage or just crud.

Brand new meaning I just installed a couple of weeks ago. Havent really driven the car much at all, so left the adjustments as stock from Tein.

At first it adjusted just like the three others, but there was a point where it became harder to turn the entire shock, similar to the others and I then used the wrench to turn the entire shock as shown in their vide on YT. Only it stopped turning after a few rotations.

I tried to back it off or lengthening them as well, but it won't lengthen either. I wonder if I simply loosened the top two nuts away from the spring, causing it to become too loose and then not turn the entire shock when rotating to shorten. I will take another look in the AM, was hoping to figure this out ASAP, as I have an alignment tomorrow.

Thanks for input.

Disconnect the lower mount from your LCA and to turn it like that. If the lower mount doesn't move then as stated above, the threads on the shock body are stripped.

I will give that a try. Thanks very much.

Tried giving it a go from the lower perch, but still hung up. I've been in touch with the seller and it is going back for warranty replacement to Tein USA.

Thanks for the advice fellas!
