It sort of looks like a condition my old 350z had on the rear windshield. These weird dots and greenish tint would show up on the rear windshield but not impair my vision in any way when driving. It was more cosmetic and annoying if anything. The dealer agreed to have a new glass installed. The glass installer said its quite normal but in my case the windshield had too many impurities during the manufacture process thus the weird circles. I haven't seen it on my FR-S. I viewed it from all angles but nothin. Keep me updated if you find out what it is.

If i'm correct it helps keep the brightness of the sun lowered when inside the car...no?
So when rays hit its not as bright inside?

UV filters. Try looking at the glass with polarized sunglasses, they get pretty funky. :)

All I the windows come with a very light tint from the factory.

Polarizers - blocks half the wavelengths of light coming in.
Well atleast I'm assuming its polarizers

This is the correct answer. Most new cars have it in some form.

Try looking at it with polarized glasses and it's even more noticeable.

If you look at polarizers with polarizers at the correct angles you will either 1) completely block out All light or 2) amplify the light :P

Subaru has been doing this process in the glass for years on the cars. It's a mild tint that block most all UVA and UVB rays.

It looks horrible but ive seen it on BMW's, mercedes, etc etc. Nothing you can do about it and its completely normal.
