APEX | New Forged Sprint™ Line - Lightweight 86/BRZ Motorsport Wheels

Introducing the Forged SM-10RS. An ultralight version of our already popular SM-10 design.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJReU2CIAOs

We’re a function-over-form brand, so we took our time and engineered this wheel to be our best. The original SM-10 has been re-engineered with thinner spokes and extra-deep side-milling for maximum weight reduction. The SM-10RS is now our lightest wheel in some fitments and meaningfully stiffer than our popular VS-5RS.

Just like all Forged Sprint™ Line wheels, the new SM-10RS features:

Sprint Spec Inner Lip
Fully Forged from 6061 Aluminum
Massive Spoke and Barrel Clearance
Un-Painted Knurled Beads
Lifetime Structural Warranty
Unmatched Replacement Program

Are these face profile 2? If not, do you have a pic that you can post?

Thanks.

Amazing!
I am very looking fwd someone posting pics of those on typical configurations:
- stock suspension
- coilovers
Fitment guideline markets these wheels for both

We greatly appreciate all of the interest thus far. While many here already have direct experience with our existing wheel designs, I recognize that some of you may not be familiar with APEX.

After 15 years of engineering lightweight flow formed wheels for motorsport use, we knew it was time to leverage our growing in-house engineering department and everything we had learned over the years by adding forged wheels to our offering. To be honest, it took much longer to launch this Forged Sprint Line than we would have liked, but most of that was due to the fact that we had to create custom motorsport blanks to ensure we could deliver the motorsport features we wanted our wheels to embody. Many wheel companies market their wheels as track/motorsport oriented, however, not all of them truly deliver when when you look past the surface.

Here are some good supportive blog articles and videos that dive further into the details of what sets our newest Forged Sprint Line wheels apart:

Hi Ryan, I have watching 'this space ' with great interest. Love the wheel profile. When are they coming to the UK? Noob question, what's the difference between the face 2 and 3?

Thank you for your interest. We have a great partner in the UK, Tegiwa Imports, that can assist you with APEX wheels. We also ship directly to the UK as well.

Each vehicle we cater to requires different wheel widths and offsets, load rating strength requirements, and has different OEM and aftermarket brake specifications that we must take into account during wheel development. To ensure each wheel fitment is fully optimized for the targeted chassis, our team engineers each from the ground up resulting in many different spoke face profiles.

Profile 1 is how we label our wheels with the shallowest spoke concavity, while profile 4 is currently our deepest spoke concavity. Although many enthusiasts would like us to make everything with a profile 4 deep concave face, the wheel specs (widths / offsets) and positioning of brake calipers on some vehicles do not allow for that.

The 86/BRZ wheel fitments range from a profile 2 face to a profile 3 face depending on the width and offset you choose. Both have a good amount of concavity to them while still offering massive brake clearance, and a lot of that has to do with our custom motorsport blanks covered in the post/video above.
