Paint scheme for 86 Race Car - Suggestions and Original Artworks
Hi there, I am in the process of building a dedicated 86 for the Australian Production Car Championship in 2013. The cage is in and we will soon paint the interior white. Then on to the rest of the build with exhaust, suspension and brakes. Then to the mechanicals and for the debut at the 2012 Sponsor Christmas drive day I would like to reveal it in it's 2013 'War Paint'.
I have secured the race number 86 and had an idea that I would like Chrome on the sides with some mat black and red striping on the boot (trunk) bonnet and roof areas.. just my initial thoughts... but.... I know my artistic limits and hoped that some of the more artistic and Photoshop types may be able to assist.. If I find a design I like then you will get full credit on the web site for it and if you are in Sydney an invite to the launch with some fast laps on the fright seat !! Thanks in advance guys.. if nothing it will be very interesting to see the talent at work.. Regards Chris triplezeroracing.com |
some colours akin to the colours in my avatar would look cool I reckon -
Red black and white is always good though |
I dunno if it's been done yet, but somebody's gotta do an homage to the Toyota livery of the 80's and 90's:

Plenty of historical inspiration in this Speedhunters thread about Toyota at Goodwood.
The GT One graphics in particular could look very cool with some chrome thrown in. http://www.speedhunters.com/2009/02/...ival_of_speed/ Anyone have engineering drawings of the GT86 profile, top, front & rear? |
