GT86 traction control wont turn off
 

I take my 86 out drifting from time to time and recently my car wont kick out and drift. I pedal dance and see the trac light turn off but when I try to drift its as if I'm driving normally and my car wont let loose. I don't have a check engine light on and nothing is out of the ordinary however I cant seem to loose traction. same results when I hold down the trac control button for 5 sec. anyone else experience this and have any ideas on how to fix it?
