Why are all the headers sold out?

I’m having a bad exhaust leak and noticed when I was swapping out my radiator the stock exhaust manifold had a bad crack and dent in it and it’s causing my idle to swap up a lot. Sometimes even drop. And I’ve been throwing codes for it as well. I’d like to get some UEL headers but everywhere is sold out.

From when I got my JDL headers it was explained to me this way. A lot of the times when you order from a 3rd party, e.g., FT86, 86Speed, etc. It is a "hot part" that is made to order. So even if there is an option to add to cart, which would mean it is in stock, available, they just send the order to the manufacturer to put the header together. Other ones like TOMEI/Borla might send an specific amount of headers depending on demand.

I would be best to order your headers straight from the manufacturer as JDL suggested me to do so.

Keep an eye on the classifieds as headers pop up from time to time. Try the Facebook 86/BRZ market place too.

Try the wtb forum and the group buy section. I ordered the Gruupe S uncatted UEL headers there.

If you have a local shop that can weld, have them fix it. The oem header is actually quite good. Just replacing the cats with straight pipe give you almost all the gains you’d get with an aftermarket uel.
