How to glue leather boot to plastics?

I’m trying to replace the leather boot on the Ebrake. Because there’s a bit of stretching that happens I can’t seem to cure fast enough. I’ve been using E6000 glue but has anyone else that’s done this recommend a glue or method to get this done? The aftermarket boot I got also is a bit thicker than the OEM so makes things a bit harder to stick and cure

Contact cement. Plain old contact cement.

I used spray adhesive when I replaced mine. No issues ~2 years later.

First practice on scraps to learn how messy it can be.

Fresh air! Fresh air! Fresh air!

will do. I watched some videos to see how to determine when it's dry enough to stick both pieces together. and some auto upholstery videos...

Advice for past self...just buy that new 2020 ebrake boot from Subaru for $70

And how short your working time is! You need a plan and stick to it or you will be peeling glue off things for weeks. It is fun to pull off your fingers though.
