GR86 GR suspension
GR86 GR suspension: https://www.trdparts.jp/english/prod...unctional.html
Just bought the GR Coil Springs Shock Absorber Set. Perfect drop at 15 mm. will post pictures and install Future picture holding spot. |
Toyota is going all out with the add-ons. Subaru needs to step up their game with STI specific bits.
|
What was the total cost for those?
|

Wow, just wow, TRD have to be taking the p*ss?
How is it possible to actually trust any of their stuff, if they are making these ridiculous claims for this crap... GR Sports Side Visor : "Improve the steering stability of the vehicle by attaching fin in the front and back of the visor." GR "Performance DamperŪ": "By eliminating the vibration and noise while driving, achieve both comfort during riding and steering stability during high-speed driving at a high level." GR Member Brace Set: "Comfortable ride and stable road holding performance can be achieved by reinforcing entire body floor from front to back in well-balanced to enable the suspension more effectively absorb input from the road surface." GR Door Stabilizer : "Fills the gap in the door striker area using a spacer. This provides quicker steering response by cutting down the delay from when the steering wheel is turned." GR Discharge Sticker : "Positive ion electric remove aluminum sticker with GR logo. By sticking it on the body, it remove the charge on the body and brings out the original performance of the vehicle." |
TRD/GR were certainly not someone i expected to sell snake oil like those stickers :(

I'll take two. |
It seriously makes it really hard to trust that their coilovers are actually a well-engineered package.
|
This isn't new. They've been selling shit like this forever.
Remember the TRD supercharger kit for the twins? Was like 20K. Almost all of their performance parts are rebranded stuff you can get for cheaper. And the stuff that isn't is usually crap like the sticker, or so damn over priced you may as well not buy the thing. |
Their rebranded stuff probably has pro of being more street-legal though, for countries, where it matters. For example - their intake for twins, which had carb sticker. Possible case for their SC kit too. Testing / certification / standing behind product on legal side sometimes may cost a lot, no wonder most of aftermarket is .. "for offroad use only".
|
Yeah, none of that is true.
The rebranded stuff is literally just a sticker/paint change. Drops springs and sways for the twins are just Eibach parts. |
