22 Warped wheel

I went to discount tire to get a puncture repaired and found out that at least 1 stock 18" wheel is out of round by a bit.

Anybody have any luck with warranty replacement wheels?

I will have to lift the car and check the others before going to the dealer.

how is this not noticeable when driving the car?

and if it's not noticeable, what difference does it really make?

I don't think you're going to get that taken care of under warranty

How much are we talking? Anything up to 3mm out of round I wouldn’t worry about. I don’t know about Subarus suppliers but I’ve seen others be out of round by up to 3mm straight out of the box. The tire should be able to absorb that error.

Ill get a straight edge under there when I check the other wheels this weekend. It's on the inside lip and makes the tire wobble pretty good as well.

Can't say if I can feel it or not. The KY roads here suck. Can't drive in the right lane on the interstate. Seen some RVs grab inches of air in the right lane.

Warped or bent? If it is defective from manufacture I would say yes you can get it replaced under warranty. It will take some work because I am sure they will go to it was bent after manufacture.
