2012 Audi TT-RS
|
Don't like AWD and transversal monted engines for sportcars.
|
Saw this thing when it first came out; Fifth gear had a review. If I had 60k I'd consider it. The inline 5 is pretty mean

Lots of oversteer due to Audi AWD and the transverse mounted I5 engine. That interior is great though. But overall pricey for almost $60k. Probably better options out there at that price. |
I like watching that guy do car reviews. Overall, I quite like it. I think it will be hard to spend 60k and don't even get nav.

Sat in one at the LA auto show. Surprisingly roomy for such a car and I'm 6'3". I would consider one if they weren't asking something like $70k + for one. Also, I'd consider it much more if they had made the DCT tranny on the US models. As it sits now though, IMO there are better choices for the same money.

Too little car for too much money. I'd drive one, I'd like one, I'd never buy one. Also not enough of a **** to drive an Audi. Tranzformer, did you mean understeer? It's due to the Haldex system, which is crap compared to a real quattro system. The presenter definitely makes good points regarding the Cayman in the price range, because that's exactly the car I would be buying instead of this.

You know why Audi USA didn't bring over the faster and more capable DCT version of the TT RS? Because it would out perform the R8 and some more than half the money in many aspects. :bonk:

At least them uptight Germans put the more powerful motor in it and finally put in the LSD. |
Well, at least there's the Cayman S which has same displacement as the 911 base, and nearly the same horsepower. I hear the Cayman S can outrun a 911 or something (probably with a few mods?)...
