2020 Toyota 86 OEM Headlights question
I'm quite new to the ft86 community, purchased a 2020 Toyota 86 base a couple months back and I'm really enjoying it! I couldn't find a post related to the headlights and the few I found seemed like a different build so I figured I start a new post.
I have noticed the headlight beams seem to be "bouncy" as in I can visibly see the light beam moving up and down off of cars in front of me and in the dark surrounding areas/ distance street signs. I'm thinking I may not be use to the led cut-off being so clean cut as my last car was a Scion tc, though I have noticed the beam cut off in other cars so it could just be that led lights are getting brighter. I do live in the high desert of Socal so the roads tend to be a little more rough so that could be another factor. I have also noticed on darker roads people are flashing their brights at me when I have normal lights on. My main question would be is this normal for the oem headlights and is there a way to access the light bulb is to check if its loose, I couldn't find an opening anywhere seems sealed shut compared to previous model years. The car has the auto headlight adjust setting from what I can tell with a few manual adjustments so I may try that. Appreciate any suggestions or comments. |
It will bounce up and down depending on how stiff your suspension is because the cut off is very precise like you said. It's a LED headlight so there isn't going to be anything loose.
You can manually adjust them down with a 8mm if you want. |
