Used this guys video on how to do it.

I removed the horn/airbag and the steering wheel buttons. At the end used 3m double sided tape in the area near the steering wheel controls to pull, then tuck underneath

Just received a black suede w/ red index line in the mail today. Was planning on pulling the airbag and trim as well. How long did the process take you? Did you use the double sided tape anywhere else to aid in the install?

about 3 hours. I did the 2 bottom sections first, then spun the wheel upside down to do the top. I forgot on the top section I started in the center where the index line is to keep it lined up. Stitch in one direction, The start again in the center and stitch in the opposite direction
Then used the double sided tape at the end in the area near the buttons.

3M near where the wheel controls are will keep that area tight. I didn't use any and it's slightly lifted there.
I did mine back in the fall with the perforated leather cover. I want to do a touch up once the weather warms up again.

Pulled the wheel off which in hindsight didn't find much easier.

Edit: I was also eye balling those carbon overlays for the wheel trim. They look good installed.

yours looks good too. The fitment on the CF pieces is perfect you wont be disappointed. Sure beats spending $500 on a new steering wheel.

Could you specify which 3M product you are referring to?

They give you some double sided tape. I ended up using it in the area where your thumb would go during driving by the controls. It keeps it in place and fills in the area

Thanks - I was expecting it to be some tube of goo.
