key fob, interior dome light not working

Hi guys so I bought a used 2017 86 about a year ago, and when I got the car, the keyfob buttons(lock, unlock, panic, trunk) never worked, so I've always resorted to keying the car everytime. Some other issues I had were that the interior dome light and the USB port didn't work either. I was wondering if you guys had any idea on how to fix this. I already replaced the keyfob battery and tried to get it programmed at a local locksmith, and they weren't able to. I also checked the fuses(I thought fuse 36 in the engine bay would be the problem, but I replaced it and it didn't fix any of the problems) and none of them were blown. I don't think it has anything to do with the headunit, but the car did come with an aftermarket one.

Not my area of expertise but if the head unit was changed then there may be a wire pulled out someplace in the harness under the dash. The HU itself would have nothing to do with it but the install very well could.

Is it a keyless equipped car? Either way, I'm pretty sure you can get -some of- the key fob functionalities turned off by the dealer, that could be your issue.

However, I'd lean towards your car having had some mods that either weren't installed or uninstalled properly.

Should be easy to check whether the dome light is at least still connected, and then follow the wiring. I wonder where the remote receiver on the car is, maybe it's not getting power or has a bad ground.

Is it a flood car by any chance?

the aftermarket head unit requires an additional harness to make the usb port work, assuming that the aftermarket head unit has a usb port that can interface with it.

as far as the dome light, have you moved/checked the switch? and have you checked the socket with a volt meter/test light while the switch is in the on position?

The interior light, wireless remote control, and "main body ECU" are on the same 30A fuse labeled DCC under the hood. Didn't expect to find that - and I would think that the main body ECU not functioning would lead to lots of other issues...
