I'm not good with corner names in tracks. Where is the "jump" at?

oooh, that sketchy part. lol. I think in the 2nd gen I did a quick brake right before it. Maybe I just need to full send it. LOL. But no matter what, I don't think I'll get anywhere near your times for either gens.

I can't read. For some reason I thought you had a 7:46 on the gen 2.

To be fair I have a zillion laps on Nords. I used to constantly hot lap the GT86 in AC with my old G920. I did that for years. I drove other stuff too but that was my go to 70% of the time.

Ooooh, yeah, I'm not even sure if I have 100 laps under my belt at the Ring.

Haha, I got my lap time down to 7:52 for the 2nd gen. Still no where near your time.

Well, decided to do a few more laps. Kept improving my times.

NoHaveMSG 07-02-2023 03:53 AM

I went in to try to set more laps. I mostly wanted a 7:59 in the first gen and I got it.

First Gen 7:59.844
Second Gen : 7:46.293

2nd gen gives me absolutely no confidence. I feel sort of disconnected from the car and I feel my wheel can’t quite give me the feedback I need.

Exactly. The first gen, the car feels more raw, and I feel more confident to send it on the turns, but on the second gen, I have to fight oversteer more often.

Doing a one lap T.A was a lot easier on the 1st Gen than on 2nd, and even then, I would still not feel as confident.

Im wondering if Im reaching a level where my G29 wheel isn't quite cutting it for me.

GT7's feedback is really.....mild. I have my DD with the boost kit cranked all the way up and it still feels really weak. The G29 may not have enough FFB force to give you good feel.

I don't even think the g29 has True FFB. I've been looking into a DD from Fanatec or even the T-GT II from Thrustmaster. Worst case scenario I go with a Logitech G923.

Kaotic Lazagna 07-03-2023 01:22 PM

I remembering wanting the GT DD, but don't really want to spend over 2k on everything I want. Hahaha

I just have the base setup with boost kit, just two pedal. I played on a G920 forever.

I wanted the boost kit, three pedals, H shifter, and the handbrake. After I added everything in the cart, I was like, eeeeeehhhhhh, delete.

lol. I wanted all of that, but just bought what I needed. I really need a new rig setup. I have been using a playseat challenge for around 5 years and it is not stout enough for a DD wheel. The pedal mount moves around on me and the wheel mount will randomly unlock. It is just nice because it folds up and stores easily.

If I use the same FFB settings for GT7 on ACC I can't physically do a 30min race in ACC. The DD wheels are a lot nicer. I got a lot of "cogging" on belt driven wheels as well as they seem to develop a dead zone in the center over time due to play in the belts/motors.

:confused0068: You guys got into the 7:40's eh?! Dayum! Can't say I regret disappearing!

KILIN RC, who did the GR86 mod for AC did a LHD US special edition version. And awesomely it was much improved. Much more true to the real life car. I've driven it a ton today. Over the moon. Aside from the color haha.

That would be nice if they fixed the car GR in GT7. It honestly reminds me of driving the G70 in the sport mode TT at brands a week ago. It should feel similar to the first gen car.

Not going to lie, this is probably the best list the randomizer has done.
Spa, Suzuka, Interlagos. Im torn.

I don't think we have done Interlagos before??? So my vote goes there. I definitely need more practice on that track. I avoid it when it comes up in the daily races. LOL

I don't think so either. I really want to do Spa, but I also really want to do Suzuka, but I love Interlagos haha.

Interlagos could be very demanding during Turns 6-12. Suzuka Turn 2 gets trickier the more laps you put on the tires. Spa Turn 1, Eau Rouge, and chicane are the make or break turns.

NoHaveMSG 07-05-2023 12:50 PM

Interlagos for me too. I like that track but haven't driven it much.

The winner for this week (Deadline Extended to Tuesday 7-11) is

Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace (Interlagos)

For this event I'll enable a third option to use the GT300 Subaru BRZ for a "Winner Takes all" event. 5 points will be rewarded to the fastest lap. Race Soft Tires allowed for this vehicle. Points for 1st gen and 2nd gen will be distributed as usual.

Oh another update too.

The winner of Season 2 for our league, gets to claim an actual physical, engraving included, trophy. I'll also throw some extra stuff. Im trying to come up with a funny engraving for the trophy.

https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/..._AC_SX466_.jpg

If you're worried about cost, all good, is like $10 LOL. Free engraving too!

What the PP on the GT300? Is tuning allowed?

Base PP for it shows to me as 735.94 which usually takes it into account with RH tires. Im guessing with RS it'll go to close to 800. Bu I'll have to check once I get home, unless someone can verify.

No tuning permitted other than being able to use RS tires.

Anyone know how to get the stock settings back? I'm pretty sure I tuned the suspension on my GT300. LOL.

On normal cars, I went to every tunable part and put the "normal" parts back on, but don't think the race cars have that.

I don't really want to buy a second GT300 BRZ since I don't really use the one I have now.

Usually when you make a second settings sheet, it goes into default.

Try to turn in a little later into T1 and pinch the exit a bit more. It will give you a straighter line into T2 and T3 and you will be able to be into throttle for longer. You should basically be pointed at the apex of T2 when coming off the apex of T1.
