Cordless Impact Clearance for Brake Brackets
I'm shopping around for some power tools to make my track maintenance a bit easier this season. Pad and rotor swaps are the job I do the most so it's my primary concern. I'm leaning toward Ryobi as they seem to have a good reputation and I really like the look of their portable tire inflator.
I'm looking into the Ryobi One+ HP 1/2" Impact specifically (P262) and am just wondering if it will physically fit behind the knuckle and onto the bracket hardware, it looks like the tool is 7.25" long. Unfortunately the car is still stored at the moment so I can't easily measure the clearance myself. |
A few friends of mine have Milwaukee right angle impacts like this (or similar): https://www.milwaukeetool.com/Produc...enches/2565-20
It's quite a helpful tool in some weird spots. There's probably other brands that make them too but I have not seen any. I am pretty sure Makita makes one but not in 1/2". Speak of the devil, look who just uploaded: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TwlrdGT_U3A |
I use Milwaukee Fuel M12 in 3/8" (impact wrench and ratchet)
Their fuel brushless impact wrench is pretty compact. Haven't had any trouble back there, though you might need an extension anyway since there is a lot of stuff back there close-in |
