I gotta rehome my kitty :(

So my kitty has not adjusted well to a toddler (2yr old) being in the house and well... the kid stays.

He's an indoor cat that loves to be petted and will snuggle at night but doesn't do well with loud noises (like screaming toddlers). Surprisingly fireworks don't bother him though.

He's half snowshoe, and I think half Siamese but snowshoe dominant. Softest kitty I've ever owned. Big boy, 16 lbs, all medical up to date, healthy.

The ideal home is one without small kids or other animals. This is not a for sale post - nobody likes giving up a furry part of their family but it's the right thing to do for him at this point. I'm looking for leads that meet this description.

If you know of someone that would provide him a good home let me know. His name is Chapman.

OMG, what a heartbreaker! So sorry.

i dunno, the toddler is probably cheaper to give up in the long run here. and the cat's already litter-box trained. you'll be struggling to get that kid to hit the bowl his entire life!

I would take him in an instant but the whole cross border thing gets very complicated!

We tried once. Chloe ain't havin' it.

edit: uh oh. I just showed Mrs. Ultra the thread. She's practically in tears.

edit:edit: I mean we tried to pair her up with a buddy once, not sneak her across the border.

Yep. Female cats can get really territorial as they get older. We had to get rid of our female a couple of years ago as she started beating the living crap out of her brother. Was hard to do but the only way she would be happy would be to have a whole place to herself.

Mrs. is over here telling me "we didn't try very hard." I dunno, man.

I'm so sorry that you have to rehome Chapman. He is such a handsome boy. May I forward this on my FB page and see if someone can give him a home? I can't imagine having to give one of my kitties away (thankfully I don't like kids, so they are safe from them. lol), but not all homes are perfect fits and I get that. I'll also ask my freinds up in the Seattle area.

A good home is a good home. You are welcome to share. Just an FYI for someone who may want him, this is a pick up only scenario. I'm near Puyallup.

Well I certainly wasn't hoping you'd ship him with FedEx! ;) But I understand what you're saying.. :)
