Dyno Compilation and Comparison to First Gen (23 cars avg. 215whp/175tq)
As some of you may have seen on Facebook or other forums, I've created and maintained a list of dyno numbers from 22 BRZs and GR86s. I have also added Gen1 numbers when provided from the same dyno. I am only including dyno results from stock cars for this list but may start a second one for people with headers, intakes, etc.
So far I have 19 cars on the list averaging 214whp and 174 ft-lbs of torque. (Now up to 23 and 215/175) I think this is a great way to get a better, more accurate picture. Where people can't just say "well that dyno reads high" or "well, all dynos are different". And like I mentioned, where able, I included Gen1 numbers as well. That allows us to simply look at a percentage increase, ignoring hp/tq numbers completely for people who really don't trust them. If anyone know of cars I've missed let me know! The more data the better. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing |
Up to 23 cars now averaging 215.51whp and 175.49ft-lbs of torque.

Thanks for the info. Mind sharing overlay graph for say average stock GR86/BRZ vs stock Gen 1 vs gen 1 w/bolt on tunes? Seeing those 3 on the same plot would be pretty useful and give a brief idea for those who are on the fence between Gen 1 and 2 I think.

Cool info, thanks for sharing!
|
it'd be nice to have altitude and ambient temp as well, if available
|
Would it be possible to add to the sheet which type of dyno each data point came from?
I am looking for some DynoJet runs and have not found any really out there |
elevation and temp might be a little harder. Not many said anything about either that I remember. Getting the dyno type might be a little easier.
But I do plan to go through the list and try to pull other info, so I will see what I can manage. |

Updated the Dyno Compilation spread sheet. Up to 26 cars averaging 215.39whp and 175.12ft-lbs.
I hadn't updated it in a month and I feel like I'm missing some, I only found 3 new one, so please post any below you know of! Thanks Q8D! |
The average tq/hp increase cells are using an incorrect formula.
