Drivers side window stuck down, please help.

2013 FRS, no pushbutton start.

So this morning I got in the car and closed the door and it sounded odd. So I look and the drivers side window wasn't coming down the inch or whatever when I opened the door. So I lowered the window all the way and it was very sluggish, then I tried to raise it and it only came up a tiny bit then stopped. The window switches are flashing.

I looked this up and did the switch reset procedure to no avail.

Current symptoms:

Drivers side window down won't move any anymore.

Passenger side window CAN ONLY be lowered using the switch on the passenger side, it does not respond to the drivers side switch, otherwise it functions properly.

Buttons still flashing even after reset.

Have checked:

Fuses good

Window lock not on.

Unplugged Neg battery terminal to reset everything, no change.

The way the window was lagging I would suspect the window motor went out but I want second opinion(s) before I proceed in that direction.

It's going to be either the motor or that driver's-side controller which is integrated with the switch panel.

It was metal fatigue, one of the bolts holding the motor to the door pulled through, caused assembly to be all off kilter, fabbed a sheet metal patch, drilled a hole and put it back together, works perfectly now.

I was going to say, sounds like it was in the wrong postion from where it expected to be. Glad you got it sorted out!
