help with suspension problem

hello everyone im trying to diagnose a metal creaking problem after installing fortune auto coilovers. everything else is stock. currently 10k miles. 2017 brz

here is a video of the sound when it creaks https://youtu.be/32_2e4yomSs

im thinking its just the rear but i could be wrong.

Here is my to do list to check this weekend:

*check front and rear swaybar bushings (then white lithium grease it)
*check any play on the springs
*tighten the end links when the car is on ramps.
*look into adjustable rear endlinks

Have you checked the main 17mm strut nut that holds the spring to the shock? The top hat nut.

Sometimes new coils are only tightened a bit so they don’t come apart during shipping, but you really should make sure those nuts are tight once you have the full weight of the car on the suspension.

Dang I know that feeling of needing a professional diagnosis as a last resort. In the meantime you could try jumping up and down on your door sill to get a better idea of where the noise is coming from. Try to listen if the noise is down low by the control arms or up high by the top hats.
