Funny question - BRZ MY22 export trade

Hello mate,
is there any dealer who can tell me if is a reasonable option to evalue an export trade in Europe for a new US SUBARU BRZ? (any paint, any grade)
Are there US dealers with export skills?
Thanks

(Subaru BRZ will be not on sale in Europe due to emission rules)

Out of curiosity, how do you plan to register the car if it doesn't pass emissions?

Subaru cannot sale due to low range of sales in Europe (they don't sale any Hybrid here), Toyota can thus the Hybrid quota is very large about sales in Europe . But no news about trade of GR86
In Europe for trade you need to observe emissions "quota" per annum on gross sales.

Imported used BRZ (need a US plate before) might be plated as "single unit car" with Eu conversion from CALIFORNIA certificate and probably pass to Euro 4 or 5 with only higher annual tax.

Another option might be to find any friend of US Defence Force Italy based (Aviano or Sigonella or Padua, Naples)

Last I heard, GR86 will be coming there for two years. If that doesn't fall through, there's your option.

selling a car out of country is no different than selling a car out of state.

the issue here is not on the dealer side, the issue here is working with the proper automotive brokerage that 1) knows how to export cars out of the US, 2) knows how to import into Italy/EU, and 3) willing to act as your agent for purposes of money and paperwork (aka Power of Attorney)

this is no different than me buying a car from outside of California, but I do not pay the sales tax up front and pay it when I register the car where I live. from the dealer's perspective, as long as the paperwork trail is kept intact then it makes doing everything else easier.

the ultimate issue is whether its worth it or not for you, because most likely there will be no factory warranty provided if the car is exported outside North America.

You are likely going to need to find a company that exports older USDM cars to Europe. A dealer won’t mind selling the car to you, but there is no way any of them have either the motivation or knowledge to execute the process.
