Looking to add a plug and play subwoofer if available

I know the older BRZ's had the plug and play sub available. Does anybody know if there is one in the works for the 2022 models?
Also, I saw instructions for the older one, and it seemed very involved (easy, but involved). I really don't want to remove all the trim work like the old models (in fear of adding creaks and rattles).
Don't the new cars have an amplifier in the trunk area (Limited model)? If so, is it possible that if one is developed, that it will plug and play using the amplifier wiring in the trunk for easy access wiring?
If so, that would be awesome!

There is one in the works presumably, since the listing has been spotted for the GR 86.

The reason the subwoofer for the previous car requires running a harness from the headunit to the trunk is that it includes a crossover that cuts the bass from the other speakers so they can do their job better. It’s not just a sub, it makes the whole frequency range sound better.

So, do you suspect a similar install on the new one? Or do you think the plug and play harness will be able to handle everything from the amp in the trunk?

So I dont know how much "plug and play" you are looking for, but I do have to recommend "OEM Audio Plus" as I had this on my first gen BRZ. The sound is phenomenal.

But it did come with speakers, and wiring. That said, there was no splicing needed. In that regard, it was plug and play.

I spoke with them, and they are coming out with a 2022+ version, but it is not out yet.

Ideally, I would want thumb screws to mount the box, and an exposed jack for the wiring disconnect.
The reason being, I would like to be able to remove it quickly for HPDE days, or if I need room in the back.

i dunno, i think it's really weird that they haven't released it already. i'm really thinking the 2nd gen isn't going to have a subaru/toyota subwoofer option.

Get UEL headers, so much better than a subwoofer.

I was at the NY International Auto show today, and saw the GR86 display. On the accessories board, they showed the Subwoofer option! I guess it's available, but I can't find any info online regarding where to buy it, or the price. I also have no idea if it is a simple plug and play add on, as I can't find any installation instructions ether.
Does anybody have info on it?

I emailed "OEM Audio Plus" and they hope to start taking preorders by mid to late summer for their 2022+ sound solution. I guess actually getting one shipped will be more like in the fall.
