Has anyone attempted to install the JDM LED accessory liner

I ordered this part from JapanParts:
https://www.japanparts.com/parts/detail/?id=62952

And the kit comes with these grey plugin tips that are apparently supposed to plug into a harness that either I could not find behind the bumper or the USDM car does not have. I can always just tap a fuse in the fuse box to get these working, but I dont know which size fuse these lights should use. Has anyone tried to install these yet, and know where they SHOULD plug in? They look and function similar to the 2017+ LED accessory light that went next to the fogs, so if anyone has installed those, your experience might help too.

I haven’t done it, nor would I be any help, but if you figure it out please post here as I will 100% buy these if they work.

Those look nice, how functional are they? Would love some kind of aux fog light to help cut through foggy morning drives!

Figure anything out?

They’re not fog lights, they’re accent lighting. They look pretty but they won’t be useful in fog.

That's a shame. The car probably doesn't need fog lights but it'd be nice to have an oem option even if it's just for the looks.

Finally figured out the install. Easiest way was to tap the amber side marker harness which are very close to where the new accent light wiring sits inside the bumper. This also avoids long cable runs to tap the fuse box and needing to remove the bumper. I cut off the terminals the accessory lights came with, then attached male quick disconnect terminals to the ends. On the side marker harness I spliced in female terminals to each line, so the accessory lights can be easily disconnected if you need to remove the bumper. Basically, connect the side marker and accessory lights in parallel. When finished I wrapped the whole thing in electrical tape and heatshrink for water proofing and zip tied it out of the way. This install could be easily done with t taps too. Just in case, I measured with multimeter, and it shows total draw is way less than the 10 amp limit on that circuit.

Driver side:
-Red side marker wire to white accent light wire.
-Black side marker wire to black accent light wire.

Passenger side:
-Pink side marker wire to white accent light wire.
-Black side marker wire to black accent light wire.

Looks absolutely sick, and thank you for the write up. Now begins the internal decision of whether or not I’m capable of doing all that.

Does the LED accessory sit on top of the pre-exiting vent there, or did you have to do some work to remove the front and pop it out?

Haven’t been able to find any information on this, you’re definitely the first person to do it!

These are direct replacements to the black vent bezels that come stock. I had to pop them out from the back to install the new ones. I didnt have to remove the front bumper. To reach the backside of the bezels and do the wiring, I jacked up the front of the car on jack stands and removed both front tires, then removed some pop clips to pull back the wheel well liners. But Im pretty sure you can complete this install by just turning the wheel to one side, bending back the wheel liner, and doing one side at a time. It will be a bit cramped though.

Awesome. Thanks for this. Might pull the trigger on these now. Would be great if I could get these on the same circuit as the daytime running lights, but side markers are fine too.

Hopefully in time we can get it locally... it actually looks really good. Now I want this.

Looks great! Although I hate the idea of cutting into the wiring harness of a brand new car, as a minor as it might be.

Maybe they will see the demand and add it as an option for the '23 models.

You could make a set of patch harnesses.
