Thoughts on moving to Spokane?
 

It's time to upgrade our living situation and find a better school district for the little one. Staying in the Puget Sound is seemingly a poorer and poorer value as time passes.

Spokane is on the top of our list of relocation options and I wanted to solicit feedback from any folks that live there now and/or have relocated there.

We would be moving from Tacoma which has almost identical property crime stats so regarding that feature it's sort of a wash.

Pros, Cons?

I'll make due with my investment on the moderate side of the mountains.
Ok I suppose if you are looking for snow machine action. Then it gets insufferably hot later.
Went to school in E-burg and then Pullman. Decided that the climate wasn't on the plus side.
Groceries cost more there too. Not quite Alaskan surcharge, but going that direction.

The crime stats are about the same, yeah.
Over there, the police chief is their step or cousin of some remove.

I live in Pullman (don't go to WSU). I personally would never want to live in Spokane.. but if you are looking for a good place to raise a kid, Pullman and Moscow should be in consideration
