If the sandwich and spacer use the same (1) centre bolt you will have to change it for a smaller one. They are very easy to find at parts stores, the thread is M20 1.5 and the normal (single) sandwich plate lenght (thicknesss) is fairly consistent across most Japanese cars

Looks good! One trick I do to eliminate the oil filter from making a mess is take an awl and punch a hole in the top of the filter. This will release the hydro lock and let the oil drain back into the engine.
